Since the demise of my late brother, my family was in a lost of what to do with his investment account. We were told to get a grant of probate or letter of administrator by the bank from a lawyer. My wife was a Singapore National with permanent residence status in the UK. When she passed away it was necessary to obtain probate both in the UK but also for assets she retained in Singapore. I first contacted PKWA Law when I brought her ashes home to Singapore. They were very helpful and recommended that Probate be first granted in the UK and then submitted by them for resealing in Singapore. This is what happened and it was possible to deal with the whole transaction remotely from the UK. This was because Christina from PKWA was very clear as to what was required and I was able to use a Notary Public in the UK when documents and signatures needed to be certified.Christina was able to ensure that the whole process proceeded without a hitch and in a timely manner.
