October 2025 - PKWA Law is delighted to announce that Ms Dorothy Tan, Partner and Deputy Co-Head of our Family Law Practice, has been awarded the inaugural Law Society of Singapore Practice Excellence Award 2025 for Family Law.
This new award, launched by the Law Society to recognise practising lawyers who have achieved outstanding professional excellence in their respective areas of practice, represents one of the highest individual honours in the Singapore legal profession.

Dorothy will receive the award at the Law Society’s Annual Dinner on 25 October 2025 at the Fullerton Hotel.
A leader in Family Law, Dorothy has built a reputation for handling complex, high-value, and emotionally sensitive matrimonial and appellate cases with clarity, empathy, and strategic precision. Over her distinguished career, she has appeared successfully before the Family Court, High Court, and the Court of Appeal, and has been instrumental in securing several landmark decisions that have shaped Singapore’s family law landscape.
Her recognition by the Law Society underscores her continued contribution to the advancement of Family Law - both as a practitioner and as a mentor to younger lawyers.
